I duplicated, and cropped with iPhoto, but lost original ??

Hi,

I took some pictures. They were in the events section of iPhoto.
I duplicated them. Once I duplicated them, I created a new album.
I took only the duplicates to the new album. The pictures in the
new album were cropped. However, now I look at my original
pictures in the events section and they are also cropped 😱

I need the uncropped pictures. I wonder why the duplicates have
had an effect on the original pictures.

When you right click on one of the pictures, is there an option to "Revert To Original"?

iPhoto retains a copy of the original of any image that it edits in any way.
