I DON'T feel like and idiot for pre-ordering because I got mine the day before release and my product is designed just fine
Yup, I'm happy.
To the OP... The lines are apparently short(er) now. I know I read a thread on here where one guy stood in line for 15 minutes for his. I would visit your local Apple store, then cancel your order. It just doesn't make sense for you to wait at this point.

You feel like an idiot? NO I feel like an idiot because I waited in line for 12 hours till I got my iPhone, walk-ins line was moving very slow, and the reservations line was going a lot faster, the ratio was actually 50 to 1 at some point, so 50 people had to get their iPhone from the reservations line than they let 1 person to get in from the walk-ins line, I went at 3 a.m. and didn't get it till 3 p.m., even people from the reservations line that came in at 12 or 1 p.m. got their iPhones before me, I was mad but I couldn't do anything about it, it felt good holding my iPhone and walking out of the Apple store, it was worth the wait.
