Excitedly realised that I could update to ios6 and did so without realising the consequences.

I HATE losing my YouTube app from iOS 5. I know there is a new app in the store but its not as tidy and easy to navigate around IMO.

Even if maps was accurate losing street view is a big loss to me.

I'm annoyed at myself for not doing the appropriate research but hey ho a dust down of my 3GS it is then. :-(

    Thanks. I'll check that out.

As for street view, I mean the real street view shot from the cars google drive around the world. As far as I know apple maps doesn't support this ?

I'm very annoyed at myself for making such a schoolboy error.

what are you stressing about? it's apple's maps now, so...no google.
just go to "satellite view' (bottom right corner). 3D on is pretty amazing, and 3D off is standard view-from-above.

ios6 has issues like any new OS. but a lot of great stuff today. enjoy it..

That was a big mistake. I feel for you. To bad I have an iPhone 5 coming in the mail though.

    Me?

I know exactly what street view is, and I also know that 3D on the apple maps app show grainy disjointed images in the area I live in Scotland.

Other than maps, which do kinda suck...horribly, I rather like iOS6. It's not what I'd call a must have update that will change the way you view smartphones forever, but at the very least, the new App Store is kinda slick.

I started liking it somewhat when I figured out I could update my apps without being kicked back out to the springboard. This is something that's always, always, pissed me off previously, and I'm glad to see Apple has finally done something about it.
