Keep it and enjoy....

Keep it? Really? Do you people really have no moral compass?

It would never even occur to me to do anything other than return it to the owner.

All you people who say you wouldn't think about keeping it... we know you're lying. How can you honestly say it wouldn't even cross your mind?... ;)

Bring it to AT&T or your local police station.

Hopefully they will do the right thing and find the rightful owner.

I hope all the people who think "finders keepers" lose their shiny new phone someday and someone keeps it.

if you have an iPhone, iPod or whatever charge it, they will send a message to it using FindMyiPhone. most likely with a phone number to call or something like that. Also depending on "where" you found it, just report it to the place owner.

Believe me someone is looking for it.

Since this seems to be such an issue for you let's put into terms maybe you can understand. What if you lost your iphone? Wouldn't you hope someone would return it to you?

Dude Seriously---
Tell your MOM--I know she has the comman sense to turn it in or try and contact the owner--if your lucky there will be a reward when you give it back,

He/She posted in the "Hacks" section, so I dont he's looking to retunr it to the owner

While you may be right, it is not up to me to "assume" what the OP intentions are, for what i know he wants the passcode so he can contact the owner or someone on the contact list to return it so he posted on the "hack" section.

Only the uneducated and the daft would think about keeping it. The instant the owner reports the IMEI/Serial as stolen, it becomes unusable...and with Find my iPhone you have a very high chance of getting caught. Not to mention the obvious moral issues.

I once found an iPhone and returned it to the manager at the place I found it. Later I lost my iPhone and next day got a call from someone who found it! I can't tell you what to do, only you can make that decision

It's funny how threads like these always play out the same.

OP says they found a phone, then other posters begin arguing morality. Meanhile OP is nowhere to be found because he's laughing so hard. :D

On verizon/sprint yes. Att doesn't block iphone IMEI numbers

Coming to think of it, I did lose my iPhone once at work. I left it in the break room and when I returned, it was gone - I panicked and thought that my phone was lost forever. After an hour or two, I got a call from one of my colleagues that someone found my phone and had been trying to reach me. :)

That iPhone isn't lost. The feds wanted to track your movements and spy/ eavesdrop remotely.. you have fallen right into their snare. Have fun in prison!

Just like the trap cars in L.A. it's amazing what some fools do when they think nobody's watching. Makes for good evidence in court.lol

If Siri is enabled try telling it to call home, or call mom.

the phone is pretty much dead, and i dont have a power cord for it..... i tried the siri thing but it didn't work...

i figured i'd go to the hack page.. sooo maybe i can overwrite the passcode area and call someone in the address book
