Is that supposed to be the users username in the bottom right of the first pic? If so I'd have to say it was added in later... the odds of it being held perfectly level are about none.

That and 99% of the threads people post on MR asking if they are real deals or not are... not.

so do you reckon it is real or not.... and yes that is my usurname

So did you ask him/her why so cheap? Its either a scam, or the laptops are stolen.

As the other poster mentioned if its too good to be true then it probably is. It makes no economic sense to sell a new MBP for a 1000 when the actual cost is well over double that.

Ask him where he is at. Then say you live there too and would like to pick it up in person.

Don't expect a reply back.

All these pictures were taken because i asked him to take them of the cd drice usb slots underneath laptop etc. the pictures were just taken then..

more pics

top right corner were it says acpp that is his campany name..

this is a scam for sure,

that guy would have to pay much more than 1000$ a pop for them even from apple (refurbs too).

there is no way someone with that quantity would put them on ebay to loose money on them.

gee, it takes about 5 min to copy paste such pics from the web (ebay, craigslist) and claim it's yours. I've seen many craigslist add's where they stole ebay pics to show the computer in a livingroom to proof they own the machine.

1000 bucks for a MBP has to be a scam. buy a refurb at apple and you're safe.

i also agree that the name in the pic was photoshopped in.

Just because he has pics doesn't mean its not a scam. Pictures ≠ honest seller

If you so sure its kosher, just go ahead and the buy the computer. I believe the majority of posters here are saying that the price is too good to be true, but yet you seems to be working hard at proving its not a scam. Its your money so go for it.

Look at the pic with the Chinese writing, this is a scam for sure, this is great Macbook FAKING it style, The Chinese have the fake Ipods/Phones and what not, this is a real machine but they are not real macbooks, they are knock off's.

Scam. The fact that the OP even had to ask shows the gullible society we live in today. If a deal is too good to be true, its bad for 1 person: you. I believe they are real systems, but thats not what you will get.

It is the usual chinese scam. Take pics of a large batch bought for any other reason than actually selling them. Then use the shots to trick people into paying for them and then they dont send them. You will know instantly if they ask for payment via Western Union, no way of getting your money back with Western Union. Be careful!

The photos are not of the latest model but the prior with express card slot aren't they? That could make this deal legit if he is dumping old inventory. Another thing that happens is when these people have credit and sell stuff to cheap just to get some cash flow.

Either way, not a chance in the world I would send money. If someone is willing to work too hard to guarantee something, it's always a desperate situation. I don't want to buy from someone desperate either.

Stay away or buy it. You really are trying to prove it to us...

Wow.. I wonder why he's taken pics in loads of different rooms? Wink Wink.. Lol

Like the Sopranos when Tony and company take over the sporting goods store, buy a bunch of stuff on credit, sell the stuff for cash, then never pay back the creditors.

I still feel fishy about this though. They could push these other places for quite a bit more.

Why *EVER* chance that much money? Just go buy the real deal. It's worth it for the peace of mind. Get a refurb if you want to save some money, rather than chancing throwing $1000 down the toilet.
