If you look at the pic with the username, the area behind the persons hand continues past the finger, i.e a disembodied half a thumb floating in midair. its definitely shopped.

Did you know the word gullible isn't in the dictionary?

And double thread...bad idea. Just please don't come crying on the forums saying everybody was right and you didn't listen....

Yes its real......in the same sense as my middle wicket is zip-tied to my ankle.

dont get cocky

He is prooving a point.

Ask the guy to send a photo with todays paper, himself doing a peace sign, and the mac all in the same photo. That way he can't fake the photographs.

Then decide if you think it is a good idea.

Pay with paypal or something I don't know. If you get a real mac, it was very likely stolen, and if you get a china fake. WE TOLD YOU SO :p

This doesn't get you suspicious at all? The chinese writing on the news paper??? Of course it's a scam.

Dude. He's trying to tell you that its a scam and needing to ask this is pretty gullible in the first place. Always and mean ALWAYS go by the idea of its too good to be true then it is. Of course this is too good to be true, it has scam written all over it.

I love it when people jump up and down asking for advice, call the overwhelming advice stupid, and repeat the same questions. Call it a pet peeve.

DO YOU THINK IT IS THE REAL THING, I MADE A POST ON THIS TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS THINK??

my post

check it out

First, even though the deal sounds good, for the amount of money you are spending I would prefer a website that has at least a phone number for you to contact the dealer. This one doesn't. Also did you notice that the feedback score of the seller is zero? I understand that you want to find a good deal, who doesn't? But you can easily become a guinea pig of a scam and you'll be coming back here upset and asking us how to get your money back. Don't buy it. Look for a legit dealer.

go for it! You seem to be sticking up for this seller, so why not? I mean if you are that set on saving money, no matter how shady the deal seems to be, go ahead.

And why link the first page of this thread onto the second?
I say do it. No one in their right mind would sell a new 15" for $1K. My year old 15" is worth more than that. SO like i said, go for it. You want to get ripped off so bad...If this was real, i am sure this deal would've been posted on gizmodo, or anandtech, etc...

That site leaves the same taste in your mouth as those, "just put all your old gold in our special envelopes, and we'll mail you a check....no really we'll mail you the money...really" ads on tv.
