I tried to get one on launch day but then gave up and ended up thinking I would keep my iPad 1 for longer. Since then I've felt the urge multiple times but finally gave in and got a white 16gb. I figured since it's my portfolio (fashion photographer) I needed to have the best available. The minute I opened the box I was wondering why I didn't upgrade sooner - it's beautiful!

The magazine I shot for has an iPad version and honestly reading with the white is much more pleasant.

The upgrade is well worth it, and I can't understand why people consider the iPad 2 as a 1.5 product.

I agree. Not sure either. It's silly since I do believe that the iPad 2 just purely on the design aspect is already a huge step ahead and I would have just spent the extra cash based on the design change alone.

I am completely in the same position as you. Decided to hold off on upgrading and am now very happy I did. (Just got my 2 on Friday.)

My iPad 1 will be for "at home" use, and the 2 will go on the road with me.

On a side note...your pictures are excellent...you do great work!

Why do almost all the photo's I see from people with iPad's in white make them look a creamy/dirty/yellowy white?

Why are they not a clean crisp bright white?

I think its the light, since if you look at Macbook pro it has the same tint.

To OP: Congrats on the Purchase, Hope to pick mine up soon.

As a fashion photographer, doesn't that god awful camera on the iPad 2 piss you off?

So jealous ˆ◡ˆ just ordered my iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB - White

Really looking forward to it arriving, 7th June is marked in my calendar.

Yeah my room is light a bit warmer than normal - I prefer warmer lighting anyways - but overall the white is really beautiful and is a very frosted white.

It does - but luckily the iPhone 4 saved me...sigh, can't have everything I guess. What I really want is a retina display - in fact I would have paid up to $300 more just to have a retina display on this portfolio viewing reasons.

Yes, and my R8 salesman is about to give you a big hug too

Hahaha should I get partial commission on it?!
