I got my 15" MBP...

Wow! It showed up a day early (took only two days to get here from China)!

15" 2.9/460/1TB. Have only used the machine for a couple of hours so far, but it's a dream. I haven't had any issue so far (keys uniformly click, no weird noise, touch button is firm, screen is uniform with no visible light bleed, no chips on the space grey finish, etc..).

Can't wait to use it more, but so far it's looking really nice .

For a month I've read the horrible reviews and dozens of threads citing issues with the new model, and frankly I was frightened!

I'm really sad for anyone that has had their view of this machine tarnished due to quality control issues. There are good machines out there .

Glad to hear a good review! We tend to hear all of the horror stories on this forum which scares some but the percentage of bad ones is probably pretty small.

I am actually thrilled to report that my Bose QC35 headphones paired and work with the MBP. My XPS15 never recognized them.

You may not get useful results from a battery test this early, especially if your machine is indexing in the background, as new ones generally do. Maybe it will last through your flight, though.

Nice! I bet you have a 500 mA USB-A connector with your seat, to charge phones and stuff. In another topic, someone reported that the MacBook trickle-charges from USB-A ports (with the appropriate USB-C to USB-A cable), and I calculated that you could probably extend the battery runtime with about 25%.

This is certainly good to know! Let's hope Best Buy has the cable =D
