Ok so I just got my Mac Pro 2.8 Octo, 8800GT, 500Gb HD, 2-F1 1Tb HDs, 10Gb RAM.

So what is it really good at?:apple:
 
Rip all of your favorite movies using Handbrake then re-encode them in a bunch of different formats.

Buy Final CUt Studio 2, import 10 hours of uncompressed HD footage, and export it in maximum settings :D.

Play some games under bootcamp at max quality (well, except for maybe crysis).

No, no, no, The couple of thousand dollar machine, (24" iMac is for my wife),

I have a good idea why I bought the Mac Pro (it's cool, and some photo work), but I was wondering what really screams and uses all 8 cores. That way I will have something to show off to all my neighbors who work for Microsoft. :D

You can sit back and close your eyes and imagine your life without the mac pro, then open your eyes and stare at your mac pro, instant heaven!
