So I am typing this on my brand new Macbook Pro. I think I got a great deal and I couldn't pass it up!

    Specs:
    2.6GHz Penryn Processor
    200GB HDD 7200RPM
    2GB RAM
    512 nVidia Graphics
    17" Hi-Res Matte LCD Screen
3Yr Applecare....you know the rest. All this for £1500

Anyway, it is a great machine and a joy to use........

To be honest I wish I had never got caught up in the waiting for the new model malarkey. Life's too short.

I'm glad you're enjoying your new machine.

But if you waited another week or three, then you would've gotten an even better deal - the outdated MBPs will likely drop drastically in price once the new ones come out. ;)

Congratulations on refusing to wait any longer. If you had waited another week or three . . . you would have . . . waited another week or three.

£1500? How the hell did you get it that cheap?

    A steal.

Yeah I know.....but nevermind...I feel good with my decision. If the new MBPs really are a big step up I will get one early next year and give this one to my girlfriend :p

I bought it off a reseller on ebay. No idea where he gets them from, but everything seems to be legit.

That's a really nice deal for the UK. They're more like 2000 from Apple.

Thats how you gotta do it!

I bought my MacBook Pro off eBay in January and I couldnt wait anymore, they werent announced at SFMW, so I just bought one of eBay for $1650, which was a sweet deal! Enjoy!

Congrats on your new MBP and welcome to the world of Mac. You'll have a great time getting to know the MBP. Glad you're enjoying it, and long may you continue to do so.
    Cheers

    So true.

On a side note, how do you put value on having something? In my case, I would rather have use of a product for months than waiting -- and waiting -- on a possible release.
