So tomorrow's my brothers birthday, I wanted to get him a Blackberry Bold.

I called up, to change some features on my plan, and the lady was like "Well, you have a 50% off handset price on a no-contract phone". I'm like, aiite that's $275, let me think it over.

Then I called again to place the order, and he's like "It's actually on the two year contract price- 299. Since we have a promotion, it'd be $199 instead of $150" me: "Okay, let me think it over I'm not inclined on starting a new two year contract"

I call back to place the order, and they're like "Well, we can't do the 50% off because.." and he had no idea why they couldn't.

Pretty much, I'd have to start a new two year contract, and get the handset for $399 (Not $299, that was after rebate).

So, I'm just like "Can I talk to your supervisor please". He's like okay, it'll be a few minutes.

Good god man. I've been on the phone since like 4 PM- (It's 8:30).

I finally got a good ending. I got the Blackberry Bold for $199, after talking to a very helpful lady in New Jersey. She even added the CLL2 to two lines on my account.

Did I have had too much to drink in the iPhone forum and accidentally stumbled out and into an AT&T forum? Haha

Regardless, I have come to expect nothing more from AT&T.

So I had to pay my friendhttp://Urban Dictionary a little visit to find out what QFT meant ( Makes me feel old ), and ... Thanks. Haha

Don't feel so bad. The first time I saw that was today in a different thread. I guess some kid came up with it, but not sure why they'd talk like that to even get that acronym. Maybe Jessica knows the history.

Oh, and I've had no bad experiences with AT&T....yet.

You say you've had nothing bad to say about AT&T until now? AT&T has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with, except PG&E before they were unregulated. Come to think about it, they both used to have monopolies and didn't care about customer service. Their current state is probably just a result of where they came from.

I couldn't and still can't believe that Apple would choose to partner with such a company. It's the reason I still don't have an iphone.

att is the best for me.. i always get what i want i do have a major fan account.. but i never have hassle they even allowed 2 early upgrades for the 3gs for 199 each line no ********..

I finally called and got a SUPER HELPFUL woman, (Just incase, she's a supervisor for the location in New Jersey).

She got me the Blackberry Bold for $199.

We got to talking about iPhones (As I have a 3GS), and she was working at the 5th ave store in NYC for the First iPhone release.

Apparently there were huge lines in 108 degree weather...
She was also there for the 3GS release.

Pretty much, she was an amazing help.

Great, a happy ending!

Sooo, are you going to edit your OP?

Ah.
Sure why not.

I am very disappointed that two different people hung up on me though.

The last lady I talked to said that earlier on she put somebody on hold, and tried to get her manager, but she tripped on the telephone cord, and unplugged it. Well, needless to say, the other lady wasn't happy about that. But, she was feeling very sorry for her, and did call her back.

At lease she called her back. Glad to hear your situation ended good.
