I hate Apple,

yeah, If they did let you pre-order them and then they were not available, the thread would read "I hate apple" "they took my pre-order knowing there was an issue. They should have never let us pre-order if there was a problem"

F'ed if they do, F'ed if they don't. People always have to complain about something.

ok...this pic is F'en hilarious!, I admit, I started this chat and everyone has a right to say what want to say. The point I want to get across, and not come off as pissed off but rather dissipated. I don't think it's too much for Apple to just lay the facts down. Like I said, the Apple store said noting about pre-ordering a white one, or even getting any in. However, you have Att and Radio shack, who seem to have more info.

anyway, I give up, I am upset and I will live with it. I will say that was at the apple store the other day, and balled out the place (well spoke to a manager) I did not attack him, but just told him how upset I was.

I am roll'n to Radio Shack, and so help me if I get a white one, because I am gonna walk by all the hundreds of idiots on the apple line, and just torment them....

Radio Shack rules, u will see, the day I get up and leave, then come back, will be sooooo short, u guys will be jealous.

Wow!!!! an actual Radio Shack Fan!!! never seen one before. This is rare.

All kidding aside, If your experience goes anything like my RS experiences have been.

1. you will walk in and everyone will ignore you.
2. when you do find someone to help you, good luck getting them to hang up with their boyfriend.
3. They will know hardly anything yet will talk to you like you are an idiot.
4. you will spend 10 min explaining why you are there.
5. employee A will look at employee B and say "are we getting the new iPhone today?"
6. When it is all said and done you will either walk out of there Completely Aggrevated or iPhone-less or Both. All because they are completely incompetent morons that don't give 2 Sh**s about their job.

they are the McDonalds of the electronics stores.
 
Take a deep breath and relax. You are getting upset about the color of your cellphone.

You realize that not many people in that line will care about the color right? Don't make a fool of yourself.
 
Yea seriously. And the OP acts as if Apple frickin owes him a white one or even an explanation. It's their company, their product. Don't like it? get another phone.

From the pics we have seen, the white model is physically different than the black. The front, way up top above the earpiece.
This is a likely explanation. It's not just a different color. They may have changed that and they are in production later as a result.
 
Actually every iphone i've owned 2g,3g,3gs,except the first because it only came in one color have been white,but this time i ordered the black,i thought it looked sleeker and more streamlined,i pre-ordered from Apple on the 15th and will be getting it on the 24th,can't wait!!:D

People don't seem to understand that we're not upset so much about the lack of a white iPhone at launch, but how Apple royally screwed early adopters by leaving them hanging; I chose not to pre-order a black phone because I wanted a white phone. If Apple had said, oh, white won't be available until August, then I would have ordered a black one. Now, we just have to wait indefinitely and watch with jealousy while other people use their new iPhone 4's, which we cold have gotten with less remorse if we had more knowledge about the matter at hand.

So, no, we're not whining about a "stupid color"; we're whining about having to wait indefinitely for an iPhone 4 because we couldn't make a decision due to lack of valuable information.

If the situation were reversed and black wasn't available, there would be so many more pissed off people. Those who wanted white iPhones have every right to be upset, and if you don't want to hear us complain, you're not required to hang out here.

Call him a crybaby all you want but it was still a half ***ed move by Apple. I mean it's easy to forgive them to an extent (meaning when they DO deliver on a product it's usually worth the wait) but it still does suck for those wanting a white iPhone on day one. Not to mention there was no warning of this delay coming when it did. Terrible timing. If I had wanted one I would have felt a like I had been kicked in the nuts that's for sure. That said my wife is waiting for her white iPhone 4. And to be honest she's a bit more patient then quite a few users on this board. :p
