The dingos came through. My PowerBook was only pretending to be in Australia; now it happily receiving all my files from the old iBook. I almost hugged the FedEx guy!

I know that feeling... However the TNT guy that delievered my new iBook looked like he might have given me something had I gotten too close.

Man, that doesn't sound right - does it!?

Dear Customer,

This has been an exciting year for the Apple Store, with the development of Apple's innovative range of products and a significant expansion in products from other suppliers.

Such changes have been matched by a huge increase in customer traffic and demand which we have for the most part been successfully handling. In recent months we have also been upgrading our logistics systems and network and have been encountering several implementation issues. Unfortunately, for some of our customers, this translated into a shopping experience on the Store that fell short of the standards we strive to achieve.

If you have recently experienced delays or other problems with your order, let us assure you that we are taking all the necessary steps to restore service levels as quickly as possible, putting in place improved processes and additional staff to ensure that you receive the care and attention that you deserve.

Whether or not you have been affected by the problems we have experienced, please be certain that your satisfaction as one of our customers is our highest priority and we look forward to welcoming you the next time you visit the Apple Store.

Yours faithfully

The Apple Store Team

Got my Powerbook

So the FedEx guy shows up 10 minutes before I leave. Howerver apparenlty it was delivered twice, and I missed the guy once all at the same time. Strange.

Yeah, FedEx can find it usually. Even with only a name, but it costs 10 dollars.

We use FedEx, UPS, and Airborn Express every damn day for overnight orders everyday and they rarely if ever come in the afternoon if morning shipment was requested. Don't flame FedEx, etc when the company *cough* APPLE *cough* you're ordering from hired retarded slugs in the packing and shipping department.

Apple quoted me a Dec 3 ship. They sent it out on Nov. 21, that makes me happy.

I live in the uk so apple uses tnt to ship it from taiwan to the netherlands to ireland and then final to me it's a long stupid rout my sisters ibook spent 2 weeks siting in the netherlands

when i ordered the up to date version of panther, mine got shipped out when everyone else's did, but it spent two days in california for some reason; finally they shipped it out and it sat in memphis over the weekend. i finally got it on tuesday (i was starting to think Tom Hanks was splitting open coconuts with my panther CD's), and what is stuck on the package? a big sticker that says "Saturday Delivery." the driver handed it over to me a little sheepishly. no apologies at all. i was a tad furious.
