Just because you no longer need a cable penetrating your iPhone to charge it does not mean it's wireless.

In my book, wireless charging means me being able to walk around the house with my iPhone in my pocket and it wirelessly charging. You know how your modem emits interwaves and your Mac magically has internet? That's right, because it's wireless. No need to place your Mac on the modem. Yup, because it's wireless.

How are all these stupid "wireless chargers" even considered wireless when your phone needs to sit on the charger?? Pfft, wireless my rosebud.

Remember how you could sync your iPhone with iTunes without needing to physically connect? That's what true wireless charging should be like. Not this wire-schmire pseudo ****.

Anyone under the age of 25 wont use wireless lol.

And they want $94AUD here for the mag charger and brick.

What are your thoughts on the water resistance claims? 😂

You’re gonna get flamed for this but I do agree with your thinking. It’s not really wireless in the way we think of other wireless things. But oh well.

In outraged they call it WiFi when you CLEARLY are required to plug cables into your modem. Such false marketing!

Clearly, your modem needs to be plugged to work. But it's still wireless because your Mac does not need to sit on the modem to have internet. Not the case with "wireless chargers," hence my rant.

Wired means the iPhone is physically attached to another device where the cable connects to interfaces with a port. Wireless means the iPhone is not physically tethered, no interfaces are actually connected. And Apple also calls it MagSafe. And there’s different types of wireless.

Your logic is embarrassing 🤦🏻🎻🥺

What should we call it? Diet Coke of Wired charging--just one wire! No, that's too long. Wire-lite Charging? Lesswire charging, yes, that's it--Lesswire charging. 🙃

Well, technically you can hold your iPhone 1-2 mm away from the charger and it will still charge 😂. I enjoy wireless chargers, but I do wish they had a bit more range. I have a Clarisonic face cleaner that can wirelessly charge like a full inch away from its charger. Still a small distance, but it looks cool because it’s far enough away that it’s obvious that they aren’t touching.

The phone sits on the charger. There is no cable from the charger to the phone. Hence it is wireless.

What's so difficult to understand?
