From experience I kinda knew that anodised metal is a bad idea, and that's why I got a white and silver iPhone. You've learned the hard way to steer clear from these finishes in future, or to baby your phone and use a case etc.

The silver on White and Silver is also anodized. However, it happens to be the same color as underneath on Silver, unlike Space Gray, Gold and Slate.

I also hate mine. Big bezels, small screen, seams everywhere in the design, rattling home button, weak vibrator, bad resolution (can easily see the pixels). I am done with it.

How does it look when scratched? I’m curious. I was thinking of buying an iPhone 5S once the new iPhone(s) is/are released.

Even though I was careful with my iPhone 4, I couldn’t prevent the back from scratching. Not even a case can completely prevent that. In spite of this, the iPhone 4 doesn’t look that bad with scratches.

I really don't understand this thread. I have a space grey iPhone 5s that is pristine. No scratches anywhere especially on the sides where people complain about it the most.

The iPhone 5 on the other hand was a different story. The black iPhone 5 was the worst for this, but my Space Grey 5s is still perfect and I DO NOT use a case.

I like and all black iPhone, but the space grey holds up much better IMO.

Seriously cannot believe how quickly it wears out on the side. If you have anything in the same pocket, you can say goodbye to your sweet finish.

I think it's fair to say that if you put any metal phone in your pocket that also contains other objects it's probably gonna receive some type of scratch or scuff over time. I have a Space Grey 5s that's naked 75% of the time that still looks great. Bought it on launch day and it's always kept in an empty pocket. It's all about how you care for the device.

My Space Grey 5s has no major scratches or dents, and been naked since launch day.

Fancied a change from the White/Silver 5, and IMO the Space Grey looks the most sleek and professional out of all three colour variations.

Don't keep other hard objects in the same pocket as your phone, especially keys.

This advice seems to escape a lot of people. I keep mine in my left front pocket, screen toward my leg, and put only paper items in the pocket with the phone if needed.

I find black and grey to be really dull these days. Boring. Devices have been grey and black for years and I'm really glad that I bought a white i5. I have never regretted it (*the colour) and will get a white i6 if the option is there.

This is exactly why I was drawn to a blue 5c! Black, grey and even White have been around for years!

Colors are not gender-specific. If you believe that you simply have some judgemental tendencies for physical attributes.

I have an iPhone 5S in white and I keep a light blue/pink background on it because I find it "light" and "classy" rather than dark and tacky.

Either way, I like the color purple, it looks good on certain things and what-not. It's a color. A preference.

Ip5 black, ip 5s space grey, ip 5s silver, ip 5s gold in that order.

For me, gold is the ugliest.

…was my favorite color as a little boy. It's funny; it's almost like color preference isn't actually gender-specific. No, wait, I must be a woman.

I always get the black or grey. It is not a fashion statement like others here, it is just what I have always purchased in the past when available. When we have a meeting, most of us take out phones out and place them on the meeting table. There are probly 10-15 iPhones. All are black or grey except one and "she" is quite proud of it!

First white phone here, after years of black dross. I did think hard before I got it, is this a bit poncey etc, but I have absolutely no regrets and subsequently bought a white tablet...

Is it silver/white or champaign/white?

I have a Space Gray iPhone 5s that I've had since the beginning of the year and it's in great condition. You should have put a case on it.

That may be your opinion and that's fine.

But I wear white socks, my car is white, my skin is white, the walls in my apartment are white, one of my hat's is white.

Does all that also indicate that I am feminine?

That's not what makes you feminine... :)

If I saw a man driving a white car I would assume it belongs to his missus or he swings "that way" if you know what I mean

I have a white car, I've had three white cars. My dad usually has white cars. My wife has a black car. Your theory is incorrect and ignorant.

Oh, but my phone and iPad are black. Does that over ride the car color?
