Was checking ups website for watch progress.
At arrival scan in Orlando there is a message" a mechanical failure has delayed delivery" it goes on to say that it is still scheduled for delivery today, but not during promised time window.
Every time I have an important shipment by ups over the years they always seem to screw the pooch. Even their pick up hours at local ups depot is a hassle. I so much prefer fedex.
S@@t

Had it happen before as well and was pretty teed. Until I learned the truck was in an accident and the driver, a father of two young children, was killed. All of a sudden my new toy wasn't so important. Perspective. Take a deep breath....

I feel your pain but my problem is with fedex. My iphone 5 started my hate for them. Took the day off of work because I knew it was coming. I got a delivery notification (attempt). I knew they didn't deliver it because I was there. I went outside and watched the fedex guy drive away. I went and looked at the neighbors house and a fedex delivery attempt sticker was on the door. I called fedex and told them what they did. They said (exact words), "that is not our problem, and we can't contact our drivers". I had to drive to the fedex store that night to get it (45 minutes away). They kinda did the same thing with my wife's phone but tried to delivery it to our basement door (not sure why). Then recently I had a pair of shoes that were coming (it had snowed pretty good so I understand a delay) and it was in my town 10 mins from my house. They ended up sending it 4 hours away to only turn around and send it back the very next day. All in all, I hate fedex.

As Bo31210 pointed out, perhaps a bit of perspective is in order? You don't know, beyond the vague status update, what really happened, do you?

Consider that UPS Flight 6 went down September 3, 2010. Both crew members were killed and, undoubtedly, all cargo was lost. UPS Flight 1354 went down August 14, 2013. Again, both crew members were killed, and as before, likely that all cargo was lost. How many people took the exact same attitude that "UPS sucks" because their packages were delayed (or perhaps cancelled). Stupid UPS.

Crashes are not exclusive to UPS, however. FedEx flight 80 went down March 23, 2009. Take a guess what happened to the crew and what likely happened to the cargo. Want to take a guess how many people responded with "FedEx sucks"?

Things happen that are beyond reasonable control, don't they? Isn't it possible that UPS is doing their best, but mistakes happen? Isn't it also possible that FedEx is not really any better or worse? The volume of shipments these two carriers handle is staggering. There are bound to be mistakes. Some, unfortunately, involve the loss of life, a situation that warrants far more concern than a delayed shipment of an Apple Watch.

I get being frustrated with any delays considering how long it has taken us to get to this point. However, it sounds like your delivery is still happening today, so that just makes your rant seem even more petty, doesn't it? Boil it down: you're complaining because the delivery is delays by a matter of hours.

Hours.
