I think the title says it all. I use a Dell Latitude at work running Windows XP sp2 with automatic update turned on. I have spybot, Microsoft Antispyware Beta, Adaware and Hijack This installed on this thing and I continually have a frustrating user experience. I always get pop ups in IE even with google pop up blocker installed. My Acrobat Professional tries to load HP drivers every time I scan something. I get an error every time Windows starts up. It just seems like I spend too much time online tying to resolve a software conflict or researching the many errors that come up that I just despise using the operating system to the point that I hate it and the company that makes it. Why should I have to feel this way? Why should I have to work like this? I know when I use my Mac at home I never have a problem. And I have loaded all kinds of crap on that thing. The pop up blocker in Safari works great and every time I use the computer or look at it I just think to myself "I love this thing" (even though it is four years old). I guess that using windows just make me appreciate OS X that much more.

I am sure that more experienced windows users could resolve most of my problems and that if I reinstall windows that most of my issues would be gone (for a while), but my point is why should I have to?

i hear ya loud and clear. i have the same issues. Only my only OS X refuge is my school, and the only OS X enabled computers are iBooks that are brought out monthly for literature.Other than that, its OS 8.6, which is decent, but still not OS X. Maybe that will change soon... nothin like using windows to make you appreciate your mac-thats why, if i get an intel iBook, I wilkl put windows on it, just for that reason.
