Starting Balance 600
Buy iPad 16GB Wifi -500
Sell 3G +200?
Buy iPhone 4 -300 (if upgrade eligible)
Ending Balance ~0

Work a few extra hours for all applicable taxes :)

I think you got it figured out. Do you think that a 3g will still sell for 200 after today? I have one and plan on keeping it for a spare.

Wait for the first Android tablets to come out.

Buy one that is faster and outperforms the iPad for 50% the cost of an iPad.

Save the remaining money.

In 3 years, use saved money and buy the newest Android tablet which will still outperform the newest iPad, yet still not spending more than your initial amount of $600.

Hey, I'm American. Born and raised here, and I have never bought something that I couldn't buy outright. I never said all Americans are in debt, it's just that there's a much larger percentage than other countries.

You can find fault in just about any country. Don't turn this girl's thread into your political forum.

I don't want a political forum here. I just wanted to reply to the person who was irked by my stereotyping. You are correct and I was simply mentioning one of America's faults.

All I can tell you is perhaps. Idk what the current market is like for an iPhone, though they do keep their value better than most other phones or electronics

I would go for the iPhone 4.

You will get more more pleasure and use out if it.
You'll aways have internet and it will always be around you, its much more portable and useful.

I had the iPad for 2 weeks and ended up returning it, its a nice device, but i'm waiting for the 2nd or 3rd generation of it.

Even though I already have iPhone 3GS and very happy with it. iPhone 4 no question about it!

I call it legal classes because that is what they are.. unless you would like me to specify lol. Political Science, Criminal Law, Advanced Legal Research and writing, Wills Trusts and Estates: Legal Classes :D Or I could say Law classes but I am not going to law school, I am getting my Bachelors in Paralegal and Criminal Justice.

And as far as trying to decide, I want a lap top, I want an iPad, I have a PC and I have an iPhone. So just deciding what to spend my money on at this time is the question. I think I will go with the iPad. I got this iPhone in January so I think I will wait. Maybe next year or in the fall with my school money that is left over I will make the purchase for the iPhone 4.

Oh an exactly. ;)

I would get the iPhone 4. You'll have more use out of it for the money compared to the iPad. If you still have extra dough, then buy the iPad.

Get an iPhone. The portability of it is awesome. Ipads are cool and all but u can't shove one in your pocket and have it with u where ever.

iPhone. The first thing I got was the original iPhone. Then a MacBook. Then the iPhone 3G. Then the iPad. Then the iPhone 3GS. And now the iPhone 4 will be coming June 3rd.

The iPhone started it all and so that is my suggestion.

you bought the iPhone 3GS after the iPad and now you are getting an iPhone 4 even though your 3GS must be a couple of months old max ?
