I have a MBP and have Ichat questions...

Hi All,
I have a MBP and I use Ichat alot to IM my friends. My question is.....when I am chatting with someone and the chat is terminated is that chat saved somewhere on the computer or is it just gone?

iChat -> Preferences -> Messages -> Check "Save text conversations to:"
