and two of these http://www.patriotmem.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=8&catid=21&prodgroupid=178&id=957&type=17 in a software raid 0. my cost is 80 bucks for the owc sata controller. I get a raid0 pushing 500mb/s. I have the cases and the ssd's is this a workable plan?

The card is limited to 500MB/s max (1x lane @ Gen 2.0 spec), nor will it be able to boot OS X. But the configuration you've planned will work if you can accept those limitations (i.e. won't affect how you plan to use it).

sounds like a good setup to get two SSD going

I was going to do the same with two cards a SSD on each card just to give it some breathing room ? plus I need at least two PM cases ? on one of our machines
even though the slots 3/4 are shared figured it would be a good setup

post your thoughts on the case when you get them that seems like a good deal for the $
