is there a way i can remotely control my itunes and make it airplay videos from my itunes to my ipad?

Open iTunes on your computer and turn on home sharing.

Go in settings on your iPad and and under iPod put in your iTunes account for home sharing.

Then just go to either the videos or iPod app and choose your computers library.
