I have a vertical thin yellow line

...down the left side of my 17" powerbook screen. It's very thin and almost impossible to see on this forum, but it is obviously apparent over the desktop and even the black letters on the menubar.

I've tried restarting, but otherwise I have no clue what exactly it could be. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably a screen problem rather than video card. Either way, it's a trip to the Apple Store or an Authorised Repair Centre.

Apple refuse to say it's a faulty batch!
I hope you have Apple Care, otherwise it's £800 fix.

Me too (on a 17" iSight iMac) it is quite a common problem but apple didn't want to pony up the dough to do a recall and sort it out for the faulty batches. 🙄

I can't be bothered to do anything about it since I use a secondary display on that iMac anyway but it bugs me that it happened.
