I have an unread message, only I don't! How to get rid?

This morning on my lockscreen I had a message notification (from the vet, for what it's worth)... but when I went into Messages, the message wasn't there... but the Messages app now has a persistent badge showing 1 unread message, which seems to be invisible!!

Any idea how I can either view this message or somehow mark it read so I don't have the message count badge constantly showing?

You could try turning notifications for messages off and then on again. Or do a hard reset on your device.

Do you have it set to filter unknown senders and are only looking at known senders?

If you have PRSI filtered that is probably it. You may have posted to a thread before it was moved to PRSI.

Okay so it turns out just restarting the phone made the message show up, so I was able to mark it read! Stupid me for not trying that first of all!
