I have corrupted system update.

I have corrupted system update. When I go to general and software update it shows update now or update tonight.

When you go to update now it does not do any thing.

I gone to general, iPad storage and tried showing for the update but can’t find it there.

To delete an iPad update, go to Settings > General > iPad Storage, find the downloaded update in the list, tap it, and then select "Delete Update." This will remove the update file from your device

I did that I can’t find it there?

What do I do now?

@Bubble99

What iPadmodel is it that you have? What is the current OS version and the version you are updating to?
How much storage space do you have left?
If you have access to a PC or Mac you can try and update it via Itunes and a cable.

Try and connect it to a computer and update it via itunes. Should appear as soon as you hook the device up to the computer that there is an update.

I don’t have laptop or desktop computer any more just the iPad now.

I’m wondering if there is a way to delete the update?

All I get is this.

If the update has been downloaded but not installed yet, you can remove it:

Settings → General → iPad Storage → iOS [version] → Delete Update

When you cannot delete it
You cannot delete an update if:
  • It has already been installed (once it’s on the system, it’s there)
  • Apple has stopped signing the previous iOS version (no rolling back)
  • The update was installed automatically overnigght

As the update is available but NOT downloaded then there is nothing to delete

How do I know if it is installed or not?

general > about tells you what version that is installed.
Do you have enough storage space? Have you killed all the apps properly and started them again?
Have you tried a forced restart?

Cut and paste from Apples website.

If you still can't install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS

If you still can't install the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, try downloading the update again:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap [Device] Storage.
  4. Find the update in the list of apps.
  5. Tap the update, then tap Delete Update.
  6. Go to Settings.
  7. Tap General.
  8. Tap Software Update and download the latest update.

If you don't see the update in the list of apps or if the issue happens again, you need to update your device using a Mac or using iTunes."

I’m not sure if it is installed or not the only options I have are when I go to general and software update it shows is, update now or update tonight.

I tried shutting the iPad off and turning it back on and the same thing will not update.

You can see what version that is installed under About, if its installed it will be stated there.

A forced restart is a bit different than regular restart, google how its done (fairly simple).
How much storage space do you have left?
Can you delete the update as per the instructions I provided above? Is it listed there?

I’m not sure if it is installed and waiting for me to tap update now.

I thought this only works if it not installed?

A force restart is shutting the iPad off. I have done that and still not updating?

I will have to check how much storage I have left.
