    Hi everyone,
I just bought a new iMac 21.5 4GB 500GB. I haven't using it for more than 2 hours since i buy it because i use more the laptop. 2 days ago i just opened Safari to enter Apple store then i just minimized the window and when i click to maximize again it didn't let me. It just freeze, not responding. I clicked safari and nothing too, just not responding and i had to force quit. I have problems with the magic mouse too. The 2 fingers swipe sometimes doesn't work, the click, the right click and scroll does but not the 2 fingers swipe. It just stop working for some minutes and it starts working again but today it just stop working and after being trying for sometime and waiting it did nothing. I decided to restart the comp and when i did, it started working again (2 fingers swipe) If anyone can help me on this, i'll appreciate. I have till tomorrow to take it back to the store and buy a new one (if the problems is this unit). Thanks in advance, God bless.

Bring up the activity monitor. Is one of your cores maxed out (all red)?

Have you downloaded the latest OSX update (10.6.2)?

Hmmm, as a last option, you may want to try a clean install of OSX from the grey install CD then download the update. Others in many other threads have indicated this has helped. Don't forget to back-up your data first.

Otherwise, I'd call up the Apple store and tell them you're bringing it in as you're not happy with it.
