Thanks for lecturing me.
Seriously? You think i tried to correct you, or even lecture you?
I have an LG screen myself, and i am totally agreeing with this thread.
I was merely SUGGESTING that the word inferior should be marked, since the LG screen is obviously NOT inferior.
There is no need to feel attacked just because I was pointing this out.

Being pedantic, in English 'inferior' is better as you are not quoting speech, but using the quotes for emphasis. 'American' could be different.
I see, thanks. In German we usually don't have that, we use " " for such things.

From what I know of German (my wife is a German speaker) you are lucky to have a pretty well defined grammar and sentence structure. In the UK almost anything goes and people learn more rule based structures depending on their occupation as necessary. I do like the use of single and double quotes, as they do differentiate different forms of use nicely.

Anyway - back to the subject!

Its just a damn screen. Both the same maybe deeper blacks in numbers? but to the human eye. the same.

I wish Apple would just cut the BS and move to IPS panels. If I'm to invest more of my money on their laptops anytime soon that's what they need to do. For the tasks I use my 2010 MBA for, the Core 2 Duo and 4GB of ram will be more than enough for the next several years so buying a "faster" MBA isn't really that enticing for me. Give me an option for IPS or OLED display and I'll gladly up my game, even if it costs more.

Side by side, I must say the LG looks better. Never did like the LG brand, but got to admit it does look cooler than the two. Samsung seems to be more yellowish.

Yellowish as in warm color tone? weird I've got lg but it looks more warm

you can adjust that in calibration. set your white point to the right more for a cooler tone if using the apple utility

I really like LG products. My Plasma, Blu Ray and even my Fridge are LG.

I bought my MacBook Air hoping to get the LG panel and I did. I agree with the OP, I think it's pretty awesome. No complaints here.

I have an LG screen, and it looks fine to me. Not as good as my 2010 MBP with the high res antiglare screen, but for a cheaper TN panel it looks fine.

In fact the blacks look blacker on it than my MBP.

I wonder when we'll start seeing posts about people returning their Samsung equipped MBA's for LG's now.
