🙁my 2nd old intel iMac just yesterday broken. My first intel iMac already throw in the dustbin years back due to hardware failure. In fact I used to send it to repair. Just after few months it break down again and is another hardware broken. I kinda like..... next also old thus end up throw away.
Now Left my M3 iMac. I use my 2nd old iMac as 2nd computer to view Stream and listen to radio by the side. Whereas my main working iMac is the M3. Come M3 , I used just after one year suddenly random lines flickering appear on the bottom of the screen. I do check around I also post here before come this issue. Even Mac rumours do report these glitch on M1 iMac.
Now my working and entertainment habit is fix. I used to have another iMac by the side for my entertainment purpose whereas the main iMac for working. I was thinking for a Change get a Mac mini but end up I go order M4 iMac.
So my plan is to use the current M3 iMac for my entertainment usages for listen music and watch videos, movies by the side. I'm ok to live with it as the flickering lines appear at the bottom of the screen. As long it don't appear cover the whole screen.
I know a lot will say , better to get a Mac mini as future proof who knows the iMac screen faulty again and you get screw again even with Apple care expire. Well I just see this M4 iMac will have the same problem after I use for one year.. IF That happen same for my M3 iMac.
I will get Apple mini with Apple Display. Than get a new iPad and use my old iPad air cross finger by than it still work as for my entertainment stream by the side.

Indeed people say Apple computer is buy and throw.... but I have to say my old Intel iMac serve me Well over 5 years or so. Better than PC I used to have.
