hey guys, today, I have took apart this iPhone 5S, have a look at the iPhone 5S' internal components below......

Nice teardown. Warranty is not necessarily voided, unless Apple can tell the phone has been tampered with...that is a call made by the Apple genius at the bar, or servicer. Sent from my iPhone 5.

That's quite a bit of goop/tape holding the battery in. But I guess it could act as a thermal transfer medium to the case.

And, as in the Macbook Airs and Retina MBP, a structural stiffener, as it enlists the battery to contribute to the overall stiffness of the phone.

It's a cute trick, as it adds structural stiffness without adding weight.

I expect fewer "I bent my iPhone!" posts with this model.
 
The side looks slate to me.
