Just picked it up from Computer Warehouse in London.....
You should know that these types of threads are entirely useless without pics.
I was going to post benchmarks and stuff, but actually had to work rather than play with it... until now
I just left it there updating, then two colleagues and I spent literally 20mins looking at the battery bay.
i love the first angle!
what camera are you using?
beautiful! but what the hell's with the keyboard in the second pic? the shift, tab, caps lock, delete and enter keys are completely different!
Thats cause he has a UK keyboard.
It's from London. Slight differences will happen between theirs and ours. (Assuming you are American.)
stupid me. @_+ and i'm from australia, actually.
but yeah, gorgeous looking thing.
happy with the glossy screen? i'm a glossy advocate but it's interesting to hear other people's experience.
Nice old tiPB next to it. Guess history repeats itself in the design world as well.
Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elder berries!
I'm jealous as mine isn't here yet..
Potty mouth!! lmao
im using that first pic for my ibook wallpaper
You don't happen to have one of those incase neoprene cases do you? I am thinking about picking one up from my local bookstore but I have heard they are tight on the old MBP so they would be near impossible on this one.
I will be joining the ranks of new MacBook Pro owners this weekend. A coworker of mine has offered $1,000 for my 2006 MacBook Pro (2.16GHz Core 2 Duo 2.5GB RAM), so I'll be able to purchase one for half price, not to mention the military discount I'll also receive (I'm retired Navy). I'm stoked to the max - can't wait until I can post some pics of my new addition. At least my current MacBook Pro is going to a good home
Just got mine today too! Here's a crappy cell phone photo!
Are the Australian & North American MBPs exactly the same (except for the plug)? Any other differences at all?
i haven't seen the new ones in person yet but my 2.4ghz whitebook looks identical to what was pictured on apple.com until tuesday. or wednesday from our point of reference.
Very impressive! I can't wait to get ahold of one myself. Congrats!
Hey one quick question...
Is the color of the backlit keys white or blue?
It's bluish-white. Think the color of fluorescent lights.
