I'm not sure if this is normal.. but when I play League of Legends on my Macbook pro, I hear like 3 airplanes simultaneously take off.

If this is normal, can I just ignore it and keep playing the game without damaging the machine?

Its called you GPU is actually working and thus producing heat causing the fans to spin up to keep it cool.

Of course it's normal! Games stresses both CPU and GPU which makes them hot. The fans must spin up faster to dissipate the heat quicker. I'd be worried if I don't hear the fan spin up faster while the aluminum body gets hot as hell which leads overheating and thermal shutdown.

That's normal for laptops in general. A Windows based laptop might be quieter depending on what type it is.
