See where iPhone vs Touch are - Touch is always going to be slightly thinner i'd say, as it doesn't need the phone components. Apple could go spartan with the phone, but there is a lower limit on size of touchscreen.

Pretty much sums it up. :p

With that design, you can have either no internal storage and phone capabilities, or no phone capabilities and internal storage.

But with either one, you can't have an internal battery, so it has to run off of wireless power.

Even the furthest advancements in this have only achieved about three feet of range, so you're not going anywhere with this iPhone.
