Actually regret selling mines.

Just came across a 13 inch, putting a mSata 1tb in it.

I just saw a few of these sell for around 900 on eBay, which is upsetting as I just agreed to sell mine for 750 to a friend, also with two chargers and a 256Gb SD card in it.... guess they got a deal.

My laptop has been excellent, and as others have said beyond batteries all is great - a new battery is £80 DIY (see fixit for info), £140 iSmash - google it or £200 direct from Apple (you also get a new case). Apple will also do a hardware check on the battery and show you how healthy it is.

Only sold mine as got a good deal on a 2018 MBP

I’m never selling mine, if I sell it I might have to get a window since no way I can use the butterfly keyboard for hours in class

After using the laptop for a few hours, I love this thing. I was using Aperture (transferred from my old MBA time machine backup) for a few hours, tidying up old libraries etc. dealing with raw files with no problems whatsoever. I transferred in 300GB of raw files from a USB drive in around 40 minutes, coming from a USB 2.0 computer that is like a dream.

I have also been using Apple Photos but it's an older version (I'm on Sierra) and it doesn't have many tools, looks quite barebones. Still I'll probably stay on Sierra as each OSX update slows the system, what do you guys think?

The keyboard is nice, with loads of travel. The laptop looks new, except for a small smudge on the bottom right corner. The screen looks impressive coming from a non retina.

Overall, I'm extremely happy.

Just some more info: I considered the new MBP or refurbished 2016-18 from Apple as those prices include VAT which I can claim back (effectively a 18% discount), bringing the price closer to the second hand ebay ones (can't claim VAT on those). The reason I didn't go for the new MBPs is that I can't stand those keyboards, tried them at Apple Stores, several times, tried to like them, but they are just not for me. So, in my head, a 2014-15 is a superior product in the areas I value more (keyboard and ports instead of speed bump and thinness).

But I just realised now (and thus getting cold feet about the MBP) that there was another option to get a top of the line laptop with a good keyboard: 15" Surface Book 2, some reviews call it what the MBP should have been. Yes, of course, it's windows, but the keyboard is one of the best keyboards out there. It also has the plus of tablet mode, which is probably nice for editing in Lightroom in the sofa...

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the keyboard. I don't know how anyone honestly could say they prefer the 16-18 keyboards to the 2015 and lower keyboards. With that being said, I don't think its necessarily a bad keyboard. I just don't enjoy typing on it. I really enjoy typing on the 2015 and lower MacBook Pro's. I love typing on them more than any other laptop on the market, ever. I think they are the best keyboards ever put into laptops.
