I've been using a cell phone for seven years in this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. I've never damaged any phone, iPod, laptop, or any other electronic device i've ever owned.

For myself, insurance wouldn't be worth it either unless it covered loss and theft. I have a much better chance of losing my phone than dropping it in water. Haven't done it yet, but I've accidentally lost my phone several times, although they have always been returned (except once.........it was a Sony Ericsson K700i
