I just discovered a hidden 3D Touch feature

In any app/home screen, force touch at the far left and slide to the right. It puts you into the app switcher view! No double tapping of the home button required.

A neat feature I hadn't seen is you can peek/pop your Safari bookmarks! Pretty neat.

you have to almost press the edge of the screen.... I couldn't get it to work at first either. I also have to use my left thumb to do it. I can make my right thumb that close to the edge while holding the phone

It's a bit tricky. To me it's still easier to double-click the home button.
