High end model, didn't bother getting a SuperDrive yet. It's wonderful, I love it, so far I've carried it everywhere with me, it's fast for just about everything I've thrown at it. Typing this to you guys now from a Panera Bread in fact.

Hope you enjoy it! What do you use it for? Is it your main computer or do you have something else?

It is my main machine, at home, it sits connected to a 20" Cinema Display. I use it mainly for school work and the occational game of WoW. I have parallels along with a couple programming utilities that I like to use occationally to make simple apps when I'm bored.

    good buying.

should you decide to get an external drive, I'd recommend the LaCie Lightscribe drive (or similar) over the SuperDrive.

sure it's a tray load, but it's relatively inexpensive, can be used with any Mac (or PC for that matter) and of course one can burn dvd's and cd's with lightscribe etchings on the top side - all the basic software is also free.

My best friend has a superdrive and a couple of my other friends have USB drives that they never use so I can borrow one whenever I need it really. I'll probably throw down the money for my own sometime down the line, but for now, I have no need for it.

I just picked up a new 2.13Ghz macbook air too!

I was contemplating about getting one since there might be an update soon but I found a 2.13ghz w/ 128ssd macbook air for $900 and I couldn't pass it up. It even came with over 2years of applecare and a superdrive, so I'm having a pretty good day!

That is an INSANE deal. I would have picked that up in a heartbeat. Good job buying that. Was it a local CL sale or something?

Please tell us what OS and apps you are able to run in Parallels and whether you ever run them simultaneously with your OS X apps. I had trouble with both the speed and stability of VMware Fusion and Windows XP running Quicken 2010 Deluxe for Windows when I had only 2Gb of RAM in my Santa Rosa MBP. Thus, I'd like to know not only how you run Parallels and the OS and apps it supports but about their speed and stability, too.
