Only works on the Unibodies I believe.

Apple have certainly been fiddling around with the protocol they use on the new in-line remotes though e.g. volume control doesn't work on the iPhones, but does on iPod nano, Classic and new shuffle. I assume volume control doesn't work on the notebooks?

Works with my unibody macbook. I swear I tried this when I got it, didn't work then, but now it does.
