Guys- I just went through a tough night. My best friend from high school committed suicide- his wife called me last night. I've been calling people constantly since then. It hasn't sunk in yet. I've just been too busy calling people and making arrangements. I've been through this before with my brother. It's no easier this time. Ugh.

Sorry- there isn't really anything anyone can say, I know. Just needed to get it out.

*hugs*

i hope you can get through this tough time alright lee. you, and his family will be in my thoughts.

The only advice I can give is if you feel really upset, don't keep it in. That's what I do, and it makes me feel really, really terrible.

Everybody has a right at times to feel upset, even men (who NEVER cry *cough cough*). I can't remember the last time I cried, and it's probably why I get so depressed.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Please feel free to PM is you want to talk.

Hi Lee.

I'm so sorry for your loss, and I'll be thinking of you as you deal with this sudden shock and sadness.

Please -- if you need to speak, we're here to listen. It's the very least we can do for you, who means so much to this place.

Wow, I can only imagine how tough that is on you-

My thoughts are with you and you friends family.

Thanks a lot everybody. I'm still in shock and trying to call all who need to know. It's been a really bad past 24 hours. I appreciate the thoughts.

I've been through this with my brother too.

It's been six years and I don't think there is a day where he hasn't passed through my mind.

But one thing I have learned is that i've stopped asking myself why he did it. Instead, when he crosses my mind everyday, it's the good times that I think about. Everything good.

let me know if you want to talk about it.

Really sorry to read about your loss.

Don't overwhelm yourself with the phone calls and other such stuff that you don't get time to yourself.

Take care.

Sad for you. I'm weeping with those who weep. Makes you value every day so much more... I really hope and pray you pull through this difficult time.

Sorry to hear this :( I'll agree with Alex (KillyP), don't keep it in, look for outlets. You'll pull through, it's just gonna be a tough ride for now.

*hug*:(

That's terrible news. Deaths under those circumstances can be especially hard to deal with. It's really unfortunate that you've had to go through it not only once, but twice. :(

Take it easy. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss :(
I agree with killyp, and as he suggested, express your feelings and don't keep your grief inside. It helps with coming to terms with what has happened.

My thoughts are with you.

You've got 'friends' here whom you can talk to, but do sure to go out and get some fresh air, even just a walk in the park, it'll take some of your mind off the tragedy and onto other beautiful things happening in the world.

Sorry to hear of your loss: a friend and colleague of mine committed suicide a couple of years ago. I went through a really strange mix of emotions at the time: grief, loss, but also I was angry with her for doing it and not asking us for help. It gets easier with time (cliche I know), but I still miss her.

Well, I'm going over to friends' tonight. It should help. I'm leaving Monday for Colorado (where he lived)- I'll be there for a few days for the memorial and such.

that really is a downer. im sorry to hear that. my condelences to everyone

how long did you know him for?
