It appears that an M4 Mini running Sequoia requires something other than Apple Photos to make a collage image.

I have done multiple searches, both today and multiple times in the past, but I've never found a free solution.

I just want to make a custom album artwork image, to use in Apple Music. I have three images with widths of 400, whose combined height is 400. This seems like it should be a simple project, but so far it is nowhere near simple.

I guess that I need to be treated as a complete neophyte and have my hand held while the pictures are painted together.

It can be done with Preview. Open the top photo 400x133 (or whatever height it is) and change the canvas size to 400x400 with the photo at the top of the canvas.
This is where the "hand holding" comes in. I've been here (Preview) dozens of times, but as usual, just now, after dozens of minutes searching, I can't find anything about canvas resizing?

MacCheetah3 solved it for me with that video!
