It seems they are more interested in portraying themselves as funny and cool with awesome lives than giving a balanced view on the watch. If they can't see how other people might make use of certain features or even show how you can tweak certain features to your own liking, they shouldn't be earning a living reviewing tech!

I mean making out that looking at your watch every 10 seconds is distracting in your business meetingor annoying your dinner date?? Well stop looking at your ****ing watch then! My pebble vibrates with all my notifications but being an adult I have the self control to ignore it while talking to other people. Its not hard!

I am assuming you just watched The Verge video review?

Enjoy your positive feeling of future Apple watch because it wan't last long after you finally get it.

I love my pebble and now rely on it. My Apple watch will be even better. Stop spreading your negativity around. That watch you posted was the worst looking piece of crap i have ever seen :p

Why do you (and many others around here) have to chime in negatively to every thread regarding the Apple Watch? I get it, many people couldn't care less about the watch nor will get one. Many people don't like it or see why anyone would want to have one... But some of us here are very excited about it. I get having adult conversations about the pros/cons, etc., but posts like yours just don't belong anywhere nor add to the conversation.

Sure, no one NEEDS an Apple Watch (or a smart watch in general), but many of us want one. I'm in that camp. I've wanted a smartwatch since the original Pebble was started on Kickstarter. I even backed the watch with a few bucks because I liked the direction they were headed. Recently, I almost ordered a Moto 360 several times when I had my Moto X but decided against it due to the screen quality and not really liking the watch when I saw it in person. The Apple Watch is a different story.. for ME personally. I thought it was beautiful from Day 1. I wanted it from Day 1. And I'm excited about it. I don't have Apple colored glasses on but I do know that I want the watch and can be critical of it's shortcomings (like I am with my iPhone 6) when it does arrive. But that doesn't keep me from wanting one or getting one close to launch. I'm at tech enthusiast and this is my hobby ;) :apple:

I really do NEED a smart watch for work. I am not allowed to take my phone out of my pocket but my pebble has allowed me to receive notifications and listen to some sneaky music!

It's all these people have left in life. Just let them have their moment, they need it so desperately.

But I bet you check all the same. :)

Part of me feels for the guy because even if you pour your heart and soul into a review of any Apple product, things will still get thrown at you. Say what you will about how he should have a thick skin (which he should), but it's never easy.

However, he could have left it at "I'm not a fan of the Milanese loop, but I like my studded bracelet, so what?" There is nothing wrong with that.

But name calling that borders profanity? Way to make me want to continue visiting The Verge.
