I Just Won a Competition

On the note of the web host, I really do not know what is going on with it. Just a few months ago it used to perform perfectly for me, but it seems that isn’t the case anymore. I will find a new –better- web host this weekend and shoot the URL to that point. Does anyone have any suggestions?

On the note of the website, I know that the design is crap. But, for the time I’ve spent on it and my total experience in design and web, I think it turned out okay and deserving of the award (you should see some of the other designs).

But it goes more than design. What’s a good design if loading times are crap and the code is not clean? I pride myself in coding in a very clean way, and making sure that the load times are up to par. Those two things, undoubtedly, had a factor in my ‘winning.’

Personally, I can’t wait until college. I can’t wait until my professors rip apart my design and critique the hell out if it. I know that’s when I will get better and grow as a Web Developer and a Designer.

So there really is no reason for you attacking me and saying that I don’t deserve the award and that it doesn’t mean anything. Because really, the only thing it does is make you look like an ass hole.

Don't sweat the slings and arrows. They will always be there.

Just keep plugging away.

Hey all, just wanted to make a simple thread because I'm super exited! ^^ My site, www.acdesigns.cz.cc, just got second place at a state competition. Sadly there is no cash prize, nor a scholarship.

Congratulations!

BTW, don't take the other's criticism personally. Just treat it as feedback -- even the holier than thou comments.

Keep up the good work. You are off to a great start.
