Ok I read the links but it's too complicated. Could I maybe just delete Firefox an redownload it? Would be more simple

It really isn't that complicated. The second link gives step by step instructions. The first link is easy enough. just go to Firefox in the menu bar and click About Firefox. It will then check for and update automatically on it's own the latest version.

But if you want to delete it and re-download it, that's up to you.

What happens when you select Firefox from the "Open with" dropdown and check "Do this automatically for files like this from now on."?

Could you be more detailed?

Would deleting it and re-downloading it have the same effect? It wouldn't delete the bookmarks aswell?
