My daughter is trying to decide if she should go ahead and do a phone upgrade to the X now because she has someone who wants her 8+, OR wait?

Do you think the differences will be pretty drastic? I know it’ll likely look exactly the same, but what might the changes be?

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed a thousand times.

New chip, better cameras, Face ID 2, some sort of screen enhancements (my guess is ProMotion), faster wireless charging, better waterproofing, more RAM. That's my guesses at least.

So definitely worth waiting a few weeks for.

I won’t list any improvements with the 2018 iPhone X, as another member already did that. However, there is no reason to upgrade right now unless necessary, I would wait until you see with the new iPhones debut, *then* make your decision.

I wouldn’t recommend anybody get a new iPhone right now. Wait two weeks and see what is offered, it will definitely be better than what’s out now significantly.

Incremental performance improvements all round.
Absolutely correct. No big deal or significant changes. Physical look is the same.

In other words, incrementally better and not significant changes. A typical “s” or second round version or phase. Physical design stays the same. The “s” type physical look could not be differentiated from the original. The plus one is a slight bigger as it is less than 1 inch larger or around 12%.

Depends on the individual. I personally don't need constant design changes, it doesn't make the phone any better to me. If they are able to introduce ProMotion on the new OLED models, that enough would be a huge selling point to me.
