and for all you complaining about xp stop the only reason anyone gets a virus is becuase they start screwing around so stop screwing around and you will be fine

I have to agree, to a point. Most people pick up viruses from screwing around, having anti-virus that is not up to date, etc. But you can pick up a virus/spyware just by visiting a website. I picked up something a couple of weeks ago looking at a sight regarding golden retrievers. Other than hitting google, that was the only site I visited that day. I was done looking at the site, closed my browser and bam. Pop ups galore, home page got changed, and my antivirus program popped up a notification of infected files. Now I could have picked it up somewhere else, but I didn't get any symptons until that moment. And to test it out, after I cleaned my system I went back to that site (I must love the punishment.. ) and bam, got it all again. My virus definitions are up to date and scans 3 times a week, and I run spy-bot and ad-ware 2 times a week.

I recommend Windows Defender. Though I preferred the software be labelled as Windows Antispyware. And they should have kept the old name too.

Or run a Mac and not have to worry about it. :D Which I will, someday soon... Needless to say I haven't visited that site again.

One More Question...

Still haven't made the plunge yet.

I have another question, though. Do you guys think the power supply for that machine would support 110V and 220V? I know with most (all?) macs, you just have to plunk down some cash for a new cord; the computer figures the voltage out. Actually, my Sony notebook does the same thing; the brick is rated for both. What about the massive power supply in the XPS? Would it just require a different cord, too?

Thanks, again.
