I've noticed the same thing on video game forums. That's why I stopped going to them. Hell, if you take a gander at the gaming sub-forum here on MR, it's like it's own little world filled with angry bitter a$$holes.

With the possible exception that here on the gaming sub-forum we tend to not call each other a$$holes. 🙄

The only gaming threads I ever read are console-related ones, and not even that many of those, but the ones I do read seem like people are pretty nice in them to me. 🙂
