Well yeah i know you guys aren't being jerks, and i clearly see the sign in your picture.

I think what through me off was that there was a car parked after that sign too, and then i pulled in front of it, and saw no sign around so i thought it was fine.

Ugh. I'm going to make sure the sign is there though. Chicago isn't far, just out of the way.

OK- just don't try to take the the sign down and then take a pic. :)

parking in Chi town is a royal pain in the arse. Got to love the L.

Generally very agreed, and I have certainly learned to take the train everywhere (as Lee and Timmy know).

I will mention though, for Nick, if you're going back to Chinatown, there's excellent parking there. There's a large parking lot that's right underneath the train station, accessible via Wentworth between Cermak/22nd and 21st streets. All the major restaurants (including the de rigeur Phoenix) validate for it, and it's only a few dollars ($3 I think) with validation.

As a car owner and city resident of the land of Chi, I couldn't agree more with leekohler.

Rule of thumb in Chicago read all signs, the cops are very fair, but the tix are expensive. And they will apologize if they make a mistake.

I had one in Evanston which was clearly BS, I could tel you sometime.
