Everything was going fine. Photos for OS X successfully uploaded and synced media across devices. My iPhone successfully optimised the media and edits / syncing was working smoothly for days.

Then suddenly, for no reason, iCloud stopped syncing to and from my iPhone. Ironically, I could still view photos and they would still download a higher resolution version for viewing and editing.

But syncing changes? Screw that, baby.

Apple. It just works.

Like a fat cop in a donut store.

For days now, iCloud Photo Library has stopped working properly. I've removed all photos from my iPhone and deactivated Photo Library, in an attempt to start over.

It goes well until a few hours after normal usage again, taking and editing photos etc. Then it falls over again. And on cellular data, I can't even download the higher resolution photos. It simply gives me errors every time.

WTF? Why is the syncing so unreliable?

This isn't free like Dropbox. This is premium stuff.

The idea is great. The execution is disgraceful.

I've had no problems at all.... sorry not helpful I know, but I don't think it's specifically a service issue vs. a setup issue for you

I was going to buy 200GB of storage to be able to store all my photos on icloud and be able to access them from all my devices, but after trying it out with 3GB of images I found out the syncs doesn't work well at all. If I delete images on one unit, they sometimes delete on all devices and somtimes not. Sometimes they come back so I have to delete them again.
It is impossible for me to use it if it is that unstable with such few images so I am not going to buy more iCloud storage, which also is very expensive.
I would say iCloud usually works today with most things, but sometimes it doesnt work for some reason, so I will never trust Apple with all my images.
