Well actually I saw an iPad 2 go for around $1400 last week. People that aren't tech savvy generally have no idea how much things cost. Usually they think they're getting a great deal. It's sad yet funny.

While it is insane the real item his is trying to sell is the grandfathered unlimited data plan.

Yes, but I don't see how anyone can justify that much money for unlimited data. Plus AT&T is enabling data throttling in October. So you can't really even justify unlimited after then because it's almost useless.

It's steep because they're selling it with an unlimited AT&T plan which you can no longer get (officially).
