Taken with another i4...but anyways, besides the point, I'm giving AT&T the middle finger!

That's T-Mobile for ya, lol… :D

He probably took a screenshot from an earlier iPhone and then just brought the picture up on his iPhone 4. Voila! He has a fake unlocked iPhone.

WTF are you talking about?

Officially unlocked iPhones FROM APPLE are sold in many many countries including Canada and UK.

That's an awful lot of work to go all the way to canada or elsewhere to purchase an unlocked phone just to bring back to the US. But it is possible. Screenshot would be an easy fake too.

The unlock/jb should be out soon anyways. Seems like a lot of effort, but if you got the $ then good for him.

He got it in Canada ;)

Yep :) that is correct!

And for you guys who hate on this shot. That's ok by me. I have shotty service with AT&T so I don't want to use them for the phone and my iPad too. Currently tethering 3G from my iPad anyways so I'm not using edge ;)

What work? Many people travel to Canada for work or have relatives there that come to visit or just going there for vacations.

Why are you people assuming too much about posters?

The OP scored an unlocked iPhone (I also have one, and had a 3Gs too since a year. both officially unlocked) and he is running it on tmobile. Only a clueless sucker will think this photo is fake.

Tethering 3G from AT&T Service when u have T-Mobile, when u stated u had spotty ATT service? and ur on Edge with T-Mob.

What's not adding up here?

I paid $877 after tax (as oppose to $750 for the us one which I had since launch). It's worth it and I got it yesterday at the Canadian launch. I drove up from Seattle so it was an easy 2 hours drive.

Grats Alvin... I was thinking to go to Canada or ask my friend in Canada to get the fully unlocked version for me but I find it useless to pay $700-800 for a normal Black phone :(

If the white ones are out by now I would've shelled out $700-800 for the fully unlocked version :p

And for people who thinks it's "pointless" to go to Canada to get this, I really don't think it's that bad to drive a couple hours if you live in Seattle or Detroit.... I drove 1 hr one way to Boston to get a haircut so 2-3 hours for a phone is not that bad and you can spend a weekend in Canada too ;) oh not to mention you don't have to play cat and mouse to use unofficial unlock.

T-Mobile is getting better. I had great service (voice) from them for 6 years but they never invested in the data side of the network. Now they have a wicked fast 3G system and better plans than AT&T or VZW so enjoy OP.

Why does anyone care what carrier the OP uses? The amount of "EDGE mocking" is insane... I bet all of you loved EDGE back when iPhone 2G was out

He wants an unlocked phones and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, fully Unlocked phones are higher in price when being sold aftermarket. Also, if he travels overseas, there is no need to do unofficial unlock and play "cat and mouse" game with Apple on every single software update.

Personally, as mentioned before, I would purchase these fully unlocked iPhones as well if they have the white color but alas. I would NOT use T-Mobile, rather I will sign up for a no commitment AT&T. That being said, there is nothing wrong for using T-Mobile and pay $59.99 for 500 minutes + unlimited data + unlimited text + no contract.... as opposed for paying $69.99 for 450 minutes + 2GB data + 200 sms + 2 years contract + 5000 night/weekend minute.
