Wow op you say AT&T sucks yet your using it on your ipad to tether tn your iPhone? Plus if your iPad is on t-mobile it would also be on edge.
AT&T sucks because i don't get phone signal well. It drops every few calls and it's getting old. Plus I'm paying up the ass for both data on BOTH iphone and ipad. I just wanted to pay for one so the 3G ipad is good enough. You guys can hate on this but it's how service is near my house. If you get wonderful signal and zero drop calls - perfect
As for those wondering how come I don't feel bad for carrying both devices all the time? I'm a photographer and the device is my portfolio - and I've learn to never go anywhere without my portfolio - ever. I'm getting free edge through tmobile (very old family all in one plan) so the small amount of time I don't have my ipad, edge will be fine. No need to hate on me just because i have ****** ATT experience.
For those asking about the picture, it's one of the model i work with. I have included some more shots if you like them. They look amazing on the iphone's retina display btw
I am an artist that loves Apple - can't we just get along? I still hate AT&T though...sorry. Until they give better service in my area, I just don't see myself spending $30 x2 plus expensive minutes coverage for calls that drops a lot around my house. Maybe if I move? lol

I don't think it sucks when there is no contract and fully unlocked
I'm quite sure next year he can fetch 400-500 for that phone or maybe more depending on how much the unofficial ultrasn0w unlock version goes for.
I sold my Nexus One for $450 because it's an unlocked phones...

Most like to justify what they have, ...even if it blows. Ive had T-Mobile for 6 1/2 years. Ill never go to AT&T.Oh why all the hate for T-Mobile? I find AT&T to be crap.

Some people are afraid to tweak their phone so AT&T is the only option if they want an iPhone....and pay more money to use it.
T-Mobile is great where they've upgraded their 3G service
they're getting crazy speeds with HSDPA+, unfortunately the iPhone 4 doesnt support that band

In Australia they sell unlocked too at the Apple stores.
I'm in this good'ol USA where profits take precedence over people so I have to buy it unlocked in either Australia or Canada as I need to use it here and overseas.
Therefore to the haters;
1. AT&T sucks for it's pre-paid plans compared to T-mobile.
2. Wi-fi is almost everywhere and I've watched youtube videos over t-mobile's edge on a 3GS
4. I can use skype if I want to make higher volume calls at cheaper rate over wifi.
3. Unlocked is a big deal to those who want one phone to do it all including traveling - be farked if I was to pay roaming charges or take an extra unlocked phone away aswell.
4. To the Republicans out there...What happened to consumer driven market? (AT&T+Apple)xUSA=duopoly that is bad for the consumer.
So give the OP props for making an informed decision and don't be jealous you don't travel or couldn't use discipline to wait to get one on the first day or you love wasting money by paying for limited 3G and big phone plans you'll have to break when you lose your job, alright?
Damn haters - think for once in your life. He did the right thing for himself - you did what you thought was right at the time. Now you know different.
People should boycott the iphone & AT&T.
