I can’t believe it has come to this, after not even two full weeks, but I either have to dump my Apple watch and go back to my Fossil watch, or I’m literally going to have to buy a 2nd Apple watch because the battery life issue is ruining the entire Apple Watch experience for me.

By having a 2nd watch, I could keep one on the charger, and then each day or so swap the watches, so one would always be charged.

I am not kidding.

What is everyone doing that is running down the battery so much? Am I really so inactive/unpopular by comparison? :p My total calories for the day was 2369, and although I didn't get as many calls, texts or emails as usual during the day, I used it fairly regularly.

I've been wearing it since 11am, it's now five past midnight, and I have 69% battery left. My 6+ is at 75%, and I didn't charge it last night, though admittedly I've barely touched it all day.

Did I luck out? Should some people be returning their faulty Watches for one with a better battery? Or is the Watch just not suitable for the super-active?

I don't quite understand his need to wear it at night, most mechanical watches wouldn't even work in that situation because they don't have a light. Just put it on a charger on your nightstand, and if you need to know the time look at it...

Wait. He wears it at night?

Because he totally missed the 10,000 times apple said you will have to charge it at night?

It sounds like he is sleeping with the watch on his wrist at night instead of charging it over night. Simple solution would be to wear the Fossil at night and the Apple watch in the daytime. #

I think the battery life is great. The only day the watch was near 0% was the day I got it and it came with 74% out of the box and I was syncing. Since then I barely hit 45% on my watch with moderate use.

Firstly, Kelby is a douche.

It comes across that his watch ceases to function as a watch after forgetting to charge it overnight. It sounds like he isn't aware of the extra three days of power save mode, where it will still tell him the time.

LOL. The battery was what I was most concerned before receiving my watch. After having it for five days, it's the last thing I'm concerned about. In fact, today I eliminated the battery percentage complication.

Yep......just started pulling it off my various faces today, as I rarely drop below 60% by the end of the day :)

Battery Life

The battery life complaint is tiring. People I know that own the Apple Watch say the battery life is fine. Yes, it has to be charged overnight just like your iPhone. This is not rocket science. Some folks just like to complain for the sake of complaining.

I honestly don't understand how some are killing their batteries so quick. its 9:16PM and I'm at 73% from this morning 8am. Ive received probably a little over 300 notifications and went to the gym for 2 hours this morning. Ive had the jellyfish watch face all day.

His Apple watch does things similar to a smartphone, yet he does not want to charge it every night. His fossil watch moves one hand every second, one hand every minute and one hand every hour... He does not know how things work obviously.

His website is total garbage and pointless.

The battery life is much better than I expected. I have yet to even get the battery low enough that the watch goes into conservation mode.

Read the article. It seems the guy has a habit of not charging it overnight.

Simple solution.

Charge the darn thing overnight.

This...so much this!

I would ask him if he charges his phone at night. If yes: put your watch / charger next to your phone and make a habit of that. If no: what does he do when his phone dies?

Haven't used it much, phone is at 5% at 6pm and watch is at 30% at 5pm. don't get why phone is at 5%, its a 6+. haven't gone on it at all except to text

hopefully mophie makes a smart band

Reading that article was a complete waist of time. Everyone knows you need to charge a smart watch (any smart watch) and it won't last for years like his old fossil would.
This guy might need to go back to a dump cell phone so he doesn't have to worry him self with charging a smart phone every night, poor guy.

I have had great battery life. The first few days I had issues and needed to do a few hard resets but since then the battery life has been great. I usually end my day with between 40-50% battery left and that is after texting multiples times, playing games on it and running the workout app for between 30-60 minutes.
